Path to Certification
- Your Path to Certification includes learning about the body’s ability to heal holistically versus symptom down-regulation allopathically as you work with clients. Because of this, it will take a genuine change in perspective to help those experiencing health challenges see how the habits of diet, lifestyle, and environment affect their ability to heal.
- You will learn these concepts and principles over the course of 20 modules (95 Lessons) and have a weekly opportunity to visit with your Live Class to discuss any Lesson, concept or information so that you have the experience of learning more thoroughly.
- Your studies will culminate in a Certification of Naturopathic and Functional Wellness, opening the door to Board Certification in either of these titles.
- Your exam consists of two parts: examination essay and example questions and four sessions (or more) of working with a client of your choosing.
- Your essay questions are immediately accessible for download and review. We find that this is the best approach for learning, for you to understand our expectations and your own goals. Many of the questions are subjective, so there are no direct answers in the Modules. The answers should reflect exactly what you have learned here and what you know regarding Naturopathy and Functional Wellness.
- Your client work will begin with you hiring a client and working with them using the PATH Method for at least four sessions over two months. You will complete the PATH Method form, completely detailing all of your interactions with the client, the clues you gathered from the symptoms and lab work, and describing all the steps you have taken with the client.
Final Submission
- You will complete your Exam Form and your Client Form and email at the same time each as a PDF (no exceptions) directly to Jennifer Savage for the grading process to begin.

Exam Part 1: Questions
Use these Examination Questions to guide you in your learning and direct your focus on each topic of study. Try to answer as many questions as you can before you start, and then adjust your answers as you build up your knowledge through the Modules and your Live Classroom calls.

Board Certification
Board Certification
Board Certification can be achieved with a successful exam completion from the Academy. Upon completion, you will receive an electronic diploma from ANFW that you can upload for your Board Certification requirements.
You can choose between two types of Board Certification: one that requires additional testing and one that does not.
- Non-Testing Board Certification
- Due to the stringency of the ANFW exam, no additional testing is necessary for you to receive your Board Certification certificate with the title of your choice. This is open to all students who successfully pass the ANFW exam.
- To receive your Board Certification certificate, you will visit AANWP and complete your application.
- You will pay the main fee, which is approximately $250 and includes the certificate fee and yearly membership fee.
- Testing Board Certification
- This test is not required to get the basic certificate noted above.
- If you desire a specific Doctor of Naturopathic diploma, you will need to successfully complete the ANFW Exam and successfully complete a test directly through the Board to achieve these specific titles. Some titles are exclusive to licensed practitioners.
